The Engineer Brigade (see the first section of the Order, above) was at Beaver Dam Creek, MD, in July 1, when most of it was ordered to Washington, arriving there on July 3.
The 12th and 15th VT Regiments (from Doubleday’s 3rd Division of the 1st Corps) guarded wagon trains during the battle
The 102nd PA (from Newton’s, then Wheatons, 2nd Division of the 6th Corps) guarded trains at Westminster, MD, during the battle; but on July 3 a detachment of 103 men from this Regiment arrived on the battlefield, escorting a supply column.
The 84th PA (Humphreys’s 2nd Division of the 3rd Corps), Battery M of the 1st CT Heavy Artillery (from the 2nd Volunteer Artillery Brigade), the 2nd Brigade of the 2nd Cavalry Division, and Battery C of the 3rd US Artillery (from the 3rd Cavalry Division) guarded trains at Westminster during the battle.
